Buying an AUDI think twice!! Not the old reliable GERMAN brand anymore
<p>My car recently started smoking & jacking at about 148K kms, took it to Audi Trichardt Service, was told sparks plugs need to be replaced, & so they were replaced from my pocket. Oil consumption test was conducted, discovered my vehicle is below specs (whatever that means), & thats the reason it smokes & jacks. I asked for a solution, was told I need to replace pistons (R55K) @ 150K kms. A shock of my life
After posting my story here & fighting with Audi SA, Audi SA called to offer 50% assistance on the total cost to replace pistons. So I took my car in on Tuesday (4/10/2016) & got it back today (6/10/2016) with a 1 year warranty on all parts & work done. I was also given a courtesy car. So I took pictures of all the parts supposedly replaced for my records (since I couldn't take the parts home). I eventually paid half of the bill as per agreement. I'll monitor the car carefully & I'll continue fighting for justice............as for me, I'll never buy an Audi!!!!
