Beware of maintenance plans
<p>I purchased and Audi A3 and was informed by the sales consultant that the accompanying maintenance plan is comprehensive and the only additional items i would need to pay for are petrol and tyres. I subsquently extended the maintenance plan. I took my car in for a service and was informed that i needed to pay extra for servicing the aircon system (not aircon regas). This was not explained when discussing the maintenance plan. When i brought this to the attention of the dealership principle he said he was going to get back to me but never did. The overal service at Audi Claremone is PATHETIC. I have heard about this branch's pathetic service time and time again but now i have experienced it for myself. There was NO attempt to rectify the situation i.e. the fact that the salesman misrepresented the coverage of the maintenance plan. The "customer service manager", although there, made no effort to come out of her office to try and resolve the problem.</p>
Ok so the customer service manager couldn't have come out of her office because she was in a meeting and the dealership principle did attempt to assist by having one the mechanics explain the problem which I do appreciate. So I take back my comment about the service at Audi Claremont being pathetic. However, I still have an issue with regards to the specific service not being covered by the maintenance contract. I have reviewed the T&Cs, and there is no mention that the service to the aircon is not included. So the salesman did not misrepresent the coverage of the maintenance plan as this is not specifically excluded. I do not understand why Audi does not want to cover this?
