I was traveling down to Durban last week with my wife and two small kids. I hit a pot hole and my tyre bust. I changed to the biscuit wheel. The bust tyre did not fit in the boot where the Biscuit wheel stays. I had full up luggage in my boot and had to therefore put the hot and dirty bust tyre on the front seat of my car. I could only drive at 80kms on the biscuit wheel, and nobody at Audi could tell us how far we could drive. The first tech said we can do 40-60kms. The second Tech said we can drive to KZN, but he can't guarantee that we will make it. I was not going to take a chance as I had to think about the lives of my family, should I have another puncture with the biscuit wheel, we would be sitting ducks and an open target for becoming victims of crime. It was at night and I made it to the garage at Bergview at Warden STR. I call Audi assist and asked them to send out a Tech, to replace my tyre. I was told that the techs don't come out to replace or repair the tyre. To tow me to KZN they wanted to charge me R5 500.00 and I did have that kind of cash on me. I spoke to an arrogant women by the name of Natasha, who told me that I need to book into a motel, at my own cost.
