Audi SA Pathetic

Audi South Africa is an absolute shambles... I have the flagship Audi A6 at the moment which has a battery issue, i wont lie ive had plenty Audis in my time and VW cars and never experienced such terrible service, i was out the country for a while, the car parked in the garage, i got back and the battery was dead, so i follow the instructions and get the car started and taken to Audi Centre Pietermaritzburg, the service was due, they did that but this is where the problem began, they refused to change the battery under the freeway plan, it still has a year and a half to go and the car only has 44000kms, the vehicle was parked and not started for over 30 days hence i must pay the bill of R6295.83 for a battery, should i put in a battery from any other outlet my freeway plan will be cancelled i was told by the dealer and audi SA, i can get the same battery from Battery Centre for R1500 with a 2 year warranty, i feel they holding me ransom, No where does it state nor do they warn you that you have to start the car within 30 days, i explained i was out the country but Ash who is the supervisor at Audi SA says its not their problem, she however didnt know what brand of battery Audi uses and i had to call the dealer again who confirmed that i have to fit their battery.

even after confirming with them that this is my 4th A6 and all being serviced at the same dealer and also had battery claims before that wasnt an issue it fell on deaf ears. this is the last ever audi i own, sorry audi you lost a customer that was loyal for 18 years to the brand for a measley R6295.63 i will not buy a mercedes either as they run the same tactics, a friend was 55 days late on service and they cancelled the maintenance plan on an S Class which was 1 year old with 7100kms... thinking im tired of german cars and their customer service and moving to a chinese brand.
