Audi SA
Audi South Africa surely you are happy the way you treat your customers. Dealership take precedence over your customer. Last week (14/03/2019) @07:32am I had a breakdown on the N4 highway +- 1.8km away from Brits Plaza towards Pretoria. My car was towed to Audi Arcadia. While waiting for the tow truck to arrive I made contact with the salesperson who helped with the purchase back in 2017. When I arrived at the dealership I first spoke to him and he directed me to the service department to book the car in for evaluation, He then offered me his car to use that afternoon. The salesperson made contact with my husband after the vehicle was evaluated and somehow he convinced him into to buying a new car (A4/A5/Q5) as the repaired car will not be reliable anymore then my husband fell for his smooth talk. On Friday (15/03/2019) he informed me that I will be taking his car home (Rustenburg) to test drive over weekend with my husband. Monday 18/03/2019 I phoned him in the morning to inform that I am back in town and that the car just gave a warning message on brake pads and that he should organise for brakes replacement and also he must let me know what time I should bring the car then the answer I got was I will call you, Monday went without a word from him. Finally Tuesday 19/03/2019 he called for the car then I took it back to him. Yesterday (20/03/2019) my husband called the service department to arrange a courtesy car for me. I then got the message that the car will be ready at 16:00pm. I organised with Charlotte to come a bit early at 14:00pm and asked for the transport to the dealer. When I arrived there I completed the lease/loan form and she informed me that I will be driving with the salesperson car again. While waiting for the car to the brought down from the workshop I was then told that the salesperson is no longer giving out his vehicle. I stood at the dealership for more than an hour trying to understand why I was informed that the car was available for me to use meanwhile there was no car. While I was waiting there I was informed that sales department agreed to loan the car to service department to use on the 20/03/2019 on condition that I will be driving to Rustenburg to fetch my husband to be at the dealership on Friday (22/03/2019) to seal a deal. According to my knowledge there was never an agreement between the two parties regarding the purchase of the new car. All failed when my husband did not agree to A4 engine capacity specification and instalment versus the current instalment of the Q5 and engine capacity. On Tuesday 20/03/2019 my husband informed the salesperson that we will not be buying the new car because he will not afford it.
Yesterday 20/03/2019 my husband contact Audi South Africa around 15:00pm for intervention regarding the issue of courtesy car I was suppose to fetch. The only reaction we got from Audi SA was the lash out about the failed deal that did not take place . I was even told by the sales manager Audi Arcadia that we have been lying to the salesperson about signing the deal and that my husband was suppose to have been at the dealership on Monday 18/03/2019. I was told to go hire a car of which I told them that I haven't got money for it and that I also need a courtesy car like other customers. After the sales department meeting I was then told that the sales department has now again agreed to give me their car again. I ended up walking back to my workplace because I did not feel comfortable in taking the car after everything that happened there and also not knowing if there is anything attached to the agreement. Audi SA how can you take a verdict before you hear story from both parties?? Audi SA I am very disgusted and disappointed in the way you treat us. You only happy when you see sales taking placing. The car I am driving had a premature mechanical fault (cambelt snap @ 62400km) of which I am very happy that you are covering the costs but the fact that I am left to be stranded in this manner far away from my family is not good.
