Audi Q5 2l TDI breakdown
I drive an Audi Q5 2l TDI.
The car was services @ 99800km (beginning of March 2018) just before it went out of warrantee. At about 100400 km the car suddenly ceased and the could not start. I towed the car to the nearest repair shop (Wilhelm's Auto in Stellenbosch - best there is) and they informed me that the Canbelt broke and also damaged the cylinders. They also informed me that the Audi services policy does state that the canbelt needs to be repaired at the earlier of 120 000 km or 4 years (which was 10 January 2018 and thus before the final service).
Audi Somerset West did the service and also informed me that the policy changed and that only 120 000km is applicable and not the 4 year period. They also said that it is not their issue and that I need to take it up directly with Audi South Africa who then reverted me back to Audi Somerset West.
So the issue I have: 1. Its been more than a week without any feedback regarding whether Audi will assist in the matter 2. The fact that the amend the policy without informing the client thereof 3. The fact that Audi Somerset West take no action to support me with the process with Audi South Africa 4. That there seems to be no urgency with Audi South Africa to provide feedback.
I have been a client of Audi for more than 10 years and this will definitely be the last Audi I ever buy. There lack of service (urgency and accountability) has been disappointing to say the least.
