Audi Q3 Engine Failure

Audi Q3 Engine Failure! Be aware all current and future Audi Q3 owners I have been an Audi owner for about 15 years and always had good service from the vehicles and Audi Hatfield service team. Unfortunately, Audi’s own scheduled maintenance plan failed me recently. My Q3 was nearly due for the 120 000 km service, when the planned change-out of the cambelt is due. Regrettably the cambelt failed and a repair cost of about R80 000 is now my responsibility. I did phone Audi Hatfield (who did all my planned services) for assistance, but they referred me to Audi CIC(South-Africa). Ane, the friendly consultant advised me that the cars guarantee did laps and therefore I am on my own! I feel this is very unreasonable as I followed Audi’s rules and did nothing wrong from my side. Why is there no help financially? No wonder Audi offers a realistic freeway plan, because the real maintenance starts at 120 000km. Hence the reason why the extended plan is so expensive. If I can give other Audi Q3 owners advice – insist on changing you 2l diesel engines cambelt on 90 000km. Kobie Naude
