Audi Northcliff - Disgusting, ********* customer service

<p>I bought a second hand VW Golf Gti from Audi Northcliff. It was 7 months old with 18000kms. Some would say it was almost new. I had mechanical problems from day one. The shocking part, is that I called them 2 days after delivery, and they told me they could not help and I should take the car to VW myself. A sign of things to come.</p> <p>They don't return calls. EVER! I sent a desperate email to their finance lady, who managed to persuade the sales team to meet with me. I asked to return the vehicle, as these problems should not be occuring with such low mileage. I was assured that was not necessary, as they would have all the issues fixed. I reluctantly agreed. BIG MISTAKE! After 2 months of hell and 4 different loan cars, I thought the worst was over. 6 months down the line, the engine has failed. I was devastated, but relatively confident, as I had a VW warranty and maintenance plan, which cost well over R15k. I even paid Audi Northcliff to have the warranty extended! Another R7k.</p> <p> </p> <p>VW have rejected the warranty claim and maintenance plan, as they have discovered that the previous owner had tampered with the engine. 6 months after purchasing the car, he traded it in with Audi Northcliff because it was not fast enough for him. I have been calling Audi Northcliff for 7 days straight. They have not returned any of my calls. I went into the dealership on day 5, out of absolute disgust and desperation. Johan (salesman), Peter (sales manager) and Martin (dealer principal), all unavailable to speak to me. I was assured by Ricardo (service manager) that someone would contact me soon after I left. That was 2 days ago. I am driving around in a rental vehicle (a delivery bakkie). </p> <p> </p> <p>It has been 7 days since they were informed that they sold a faulty product. They are avoiding the customer at all costs. Is this a company you want to do business with?</p> <p> </p>
