Audi lies and deception

<p>Purchased an Audi from Umhlanga branch in March 2016. As part of the deal the salesman Azaad Sherrif told me that the car comes with extended feeway plan till March 2017 and on top of that he will give me an extended Mccarthy Mechanical Warranty till March 2018. I asked him for paperwork for the McCarthy warranty in case i needed to claim. He convinced me that he cannot give me paper work but showed me on the system that it was loaded till March 2018. I agreed and accepted the deal. I was even asked to join the Bidvest Mccarthy club since i had a warranty with them. During the last week an alarm came on in the saying gearbox malfunction. Apparantly is a problem with the cooling valves electric circuit and is a common problem on Audi. I called Audi and Mccarthy to book the car in on warranty claim but they tell me that i do not have warranty and it expired in March 2017. Was utterly disgusted. Spoke to the dealer principal and he promised he would get back to me. Broken promises. No integrity or ethics. I called Audi South Africa. They just apologised for me being betrayed and shrugged me off. Even during March 2017 I took the car for service and the service advisor also told me that I have a an extended warranty till March 2018. Where has the warranty gone to? Perhaps it dissapears when a problem with the vehicle comes up. I mad a huge mistake choosing the Audi brand and want to warn others to STAY AWAY from Audi. Troublesome cars, pathetic service and lack of ethics and integrity. Will be refering the matter to the motor industry ombudsman.</p>
