AUDI IS A TERRIBLE INVESTMENT.

My name is Juan and today I will tell my story as I am utterly displeased in so many ways that I have stopped counting but regardless, let me get right down to my rant and rave.

I'd like to state the following: I will never purchase another Audi vehicle, not for myself, not for my children, nor friend nor any living entity.

The reason for this: I have had the awful mistake of switching from Volkswagen to Audi, take note that I was note expecting to receive the vehicle as I was asked by my father what my dream vehicle would be and after seeing an Audi in person I can say they have EXTRA ORDINARY in person but what comes with looks? Usually as personal experience, it has a very rotten inside.

So, as stated below I did in fact wish to get a Volkswagen instead of an Audi, but instead I had an Audi arrive at my doorstep as a surprise present as my DREAM CAR - yet, I never clearly stated that my dream vehicle would be a POLO GTI or a GOLF GTI and I would have wanted the same counterpart on the Audi section, not knowing it was so terribly expensive even though the vehicle has more kick then a Volkswagen and yes they are typically the same company but in reality you pay for the BADGE and if you'd like the luxury you fork out until your insides are on the floor.

I have no doubt experienced the following service and quality after purchasing said vehicle: Audi A1 Sports back 1.4 TSFI SE 91KW 2017 model, regrettably you'd think that if you make a purchase of a vehicle that was estimated at R500 000.00 + R50 000.00 deposit back then that you'd get at least a thank you call or you'd get a HOW IS YOUR NEW VEHICLE? or maybe something along the lines of WOULD YOU LIKE TO UPGRADE? since it's already been almost 1.5+ years since owning said vehicle - NO SIR! I was never contacted, congratulated, thanked, or inquired that would I like to upgrade from this vehicle to a better faster model? Uh, yeah after market service is usually a key factor in KEEPING BUSINESS.

Now before I rant more about my disappointment take this into consideration: I lodged a query with Audi South Africa two weeks ago notifying them how unsatisfied I am with the fact that no one has ever contacted me and no one has ever done the effort to ask me if I am satisfied with my vehicle? Well, in those two weeks I managed to receive at least 17 emails from Volkswagen regarding my inquiry to the new GTI both the Polo GTI and Golf GTI as I was interested in both but here is the catch, that lovely little snag:

My car has depreciated from an amount of R500 000.00 to a maximum book value of R250 000.00 now that is 50% depreciation in less then 2 years, take into account my car has 12000 kilometers on it's clock also take into account that my car is in mint condition, take into account I have not got a single scratch, mark, not even pebble marks on the front of my vehicle - hence, I take care of my car, yes I do not drive a lot but guess what? I was at least expecting a higher book value for a car that is in such good condition. I was expecting at least Audi to counter this and someone at least call me and take my query seriously? NO SIR!

Did Volkswagen contact me? YES SIR! Did I receive 17 offers on a new vehicle? YES SIR! Was I disappointed in the fact that my car depreciated by 50% in less then 2 years? YES SIR!

I previously owned a Volkswagen Polo 2015 TSFI 1.2, and that car is currently valuated higher then the book value? So, the bank is willing to pay me more then what I ow on the car, that makes me very depressed knowing that.

I have one email that took two weeks to attend to and have received zero telephonic calls regarding my problems with my Audi? Yeah, well if it takes you two weeks to respond to just another costumer - I guess even though you are the same company, your Audi department are full of snobs I guess you make enough money not to care about the little guy.

Now: let me make this clear, a car of that value I would at least expect to have cruise control and at least have some decent lights and some decent multi media system that doesn't give me a hassle? NO SIR! You have to pay at least R20 000+ just to add those functions, and now I have to upgrade the sound system above that? Well, ***** me gently that was what I checked nearly two years ago and I do not even want to know what it costs to add those functionalities now, I mean that is beyond ridiculous, that is an absurd amount of money for standard functionality, and don't get me started on the boot space OH BOY was I surprised to find out I could fit one Chihuahua in my boot and that is about it, I mean good grief I could fit a small pack of bundled mice in there and then I walk over to the Polo and I could fit at least more then one suitcase in the boot for vacation purposes - never mind being practical, let me not get started on how UN PRACTICAL that vehicle is as I can fit 2 very very small people in the back seats as well, I mean you either have to be 1 meter tall and weigh about 40 kilograms or you cannot fit into the car once you adjust the seats for the people sitting in the front, I really cannot express how disappointing the space is because there is no space to complain about!

Now, functionality wise? ***** that, I have to literally pull off the road to connect my car to the blue tooth system, and on top of that once someone calls me I have to pull off the road, switch my car off, or reconnect my device or re-pair it to my vehicle just to have connection to my car? As apposed to getting into the Volkswagen my phone just connects on it's own, I have cruise control and I have space for 4 adults and boot space to go along with it, I cannot stress how amazing that is as the car is not even half the price of my current vehicle I have never had such pathetic costumer service, such pathetic functionality in a car, and don't forget the absurd payments just to repair scratches on the vehicle, the costs go through the ceiling and beyond the gates of Heaven.

In all honesty, this is one of the worst investments I have ever made in my life and I would never suggest an Audi to anyone I know, nor will I ever be purchasing from Audi in my life ever again - because why would I pay R19 000.00 to have the functionality and space I need when I can pay R6000.00 for the exact same thing? It's terrible being an Audi owner, and I for one cannot wait to eventually get rid of this pathetic excuse of a car.

If you want a vehicle that frustrates you to the point where you wish you where dead and you would rather drive a third hand Honda or Yaris, please be my guest and purchase an Audi, you pay for BADGES only - not efficiency and quality!
