Audi Hatfield

Ive bought a second hand Audi and the battery was replaced when I got the car back the car asked for a code, I phoned Audi and they said to visit the dealership, I did so the following day and they helped me and my radio worked again.

Then recently I bought a newer model ( I Still have the older one.) for some reason the car died and when it was repaired it to asked for the code, I followed the same procedure and it was requested I come in to the same dealer. this time round they made me wait. then eventually half way to the car the guy assisting me sees the car and says he isn't sure and will call someone to assist me... then after a few minutes he returns, telling me he cant assist me. I asked him who can assist me and he could not answer me.

I then left on my way home I called the work shop manager. I explained the situation to him and his response was as follows

I need to book the car in and they will ask me a labor fee for an hour. There after the car will have to spend the night for them to retrieve the code directly from Germany.

I asked him why charge a fee because previously to this event I was helped without such effort. He told me their system has changed the last 6 months and that was the new way to get your problem solved by charging you money for something a person can do without having cost to bear

He explained they have to take the radio out and get the Vin and radio serial number witch I have done myself without encoring cost. still they refuse to help me.

I feel that Audi has become a scheme where they see how much they can make out of you rather then assisting you with a simple code. I sit now listing to the visionary to men that had an idea to open a dealership and have excellence and service thrown at the public....

Maybe Audi Hatfield should change their add to" only if we can charge you and only If we make money out of you Excellent service will be provided to you.

I am disappointed in Audi and their so called excellent service for not only trying to get money out of you in difficult times but also trying to get money out of someone that can enter a code themselves but refusing to assist me with a code.
