Audi Freeway Plan Does Not Cover Wear and Tear Components

I have a 2013 Audi A3 Sportback. The car is less than 3 years old with less than 100000 Kms and the Audi Freeway Plan is still active. The clutch is giving problems and I reported it to Audi. Audi South Africa want me to pay almost R4000 to strip the car and diagnose the concern.

I spoke to Zukiswa Mtywaru at the Audi Customer Interaction Centre, this is what she emailed me: "Due to the clutch being a wear and tear component, authorisation needs to be given for the Dealer to strip, in order to diagnose the concern on your vehicle. Regrettably, the costs will be for your account..."

According to the Audi website (http://www.audi.co.za/za/brand/en/audi-service/freeway_plan.html), this is how Audi describeand promote the Audi Freeway Plan "There can be no better motoring peace of mind than knowing that your car will be serviced, maintained and repaired, should this prove necessary, at no cost to you. Thanks to Audi Freeway Plan, that peace of mind could be yours.
The Audi Freeway Plan absorbs all maintenance and service costs, with the exception of between-service top-up fluids, fuel, cracked or broken glass, and tyres."
