Audi Dream On
Firstly, I sent through a complaint this morning on the Audi website, no response. This is the service received throughout my experience, which has been short. A pre-owned vehicle was purchased having asked for the relevant checks and being assured that the vehicle had one owner the A1 was delivered last Wednesday by the salesman who needs to learn "what service actually is". On Thursday last week the engine light came on, I notified him immediately and advised the vehicle was being taken to The Glen on Friday. On arriving a job card was completed only to note that the name appearing differed from the one in the service manual given to me, this already alerted me that there was a problem and what else was I not told. The salesman requested that the vehicle be driven on the Saturday morning to Centurion, which I refused. If it was not for Hayley the Dealer Principal they would have driven the vehicle - losing power, overheating with the engine light on. No offer of a courtesy vehicle or any consideration as to my commitments. The salesman updated me via email today, no courtesy of a call not even from his Manager whom also spoke with me on Friday. If this is the overall attitude and way in which Audi deal with their customers, I will never again even look at the brand and that is the reason why I never purchase pre-owned vehicles. No registration has taken place either from the 14th May to-date. If Audi does not come to the party and resolve this to my satisfaction, the matter will be taken to the media. My question this morning was that if I was a man, would the matter have been handled differently.
