Audi Centre Durban Does not Honour Maintenence Plan on their Vehicles

<p>I have an Audi A 1 which is just over 4 years old. Less than 80 000 km. Still under 5 year/100 000km maintenence plan. On Sunday 27th, the clutch plate gave in on the vehicle.</p> <p>Audi Durban has refused to repair clutch plate within the factory maintence plan which is still valid on the vehicle. They claim that the fault is driver induced which means it is negligence on the part of the driver.. The vehicle stalled on the freeway on Sunday 27-11-2016 and I believed that over a four year period this could be a result of NORMAL wear and tear and not shift the blame to negligence. I could accept the reason if this was a fairly new vehicle less than a year old and the clutch gave in.</p> <p>I was also advised that Audi South Africa (Head Office) confirmed that they will not repair the clutch under under the maintenence plan. I then rquested for the detail of the technical report from Audi South Africa and was then advised by Aleisa Emmanuel (Service Advisor)that the decison was made by themselves. This is in contradiction of her initial statement and believe that they are escaping to honour the warranty.</p> <p>Audi's advertising of their 5 year maintenance/100 000km maintenance plan on their vehicle is a superfical branding of their product. From a customer service point, the said service advisor will promise to keep you informed on the status of the vehicle to which she will not call you back and give you an update. As a customer, I must call to get an update.</p> <p>My e mails also copied to the Dealer Principal (Jacques Breytenbach) and as the Leader at the Dealership he does not bother to call the client to discuss the matter on hand. This is the Leadership you have at Audi Centre Durban.</p> <p>The voice over on their telephone speaks about how passionate they are towards customer service. This is merely words which anyone can say without delivering on.</p> <p>The Service Advisor sents me 2 photos of the stripped gear box which means nothing to me as a Man in the street. I requested a "TECHNICAL REPORT"detailing their assessment of the problem and how they have come to the conclusion that the clutch was damaged by the driver to which I am still waiting.</p> <p>The cost to repair the vehicle amounts to around R20 500. When you purchase an Audi, you are told that the only cost you worry on the vehicle is theTyres as all repairs are covered by the 5 year/100 000km maintence plan on the vehicle. </p> <p>Please bear this in mind when purchasing an AUDI as you might be faced with cost you did not expect as at the point of sale the only intention is to sell you a motor vehicle. When a problem arises you are faced with cost that you did not budget for. </p> <p>I thought I bought "PIECE OF MIND OF PURCHASING AN AUDI WITH A 5 YEAR/100 000KM FACTORY MANTENENCE PLAN IN PLACE</p>
