Audi A5 oil consumption problem manufacturing defect

I am extremely disgusted with Audi as a brand.

I bought a brand new Audi A5 in 2010. Conveniently I was not informed of the oil consumption issues which is a factory defect. Although my vehicle is 7 years old, I experienced this problem since the first year of purchase. Conveniently it was always within specification and only when the extended warranty expired was I informed that it is now surprisingly off specification.

It is strange that the problem worsened after the last service by one of their so called expert mechanics who I believe stuffed up my vehicle.

Previously the vehicle consumed 1l of oil per 1000 kms but after the service it is 2l per 400 kms.

I will not accept responsibility for a defective engine which is a known fault internationally. Audi cannot plead innocence in this regard.

As a loyal supporter of the Audi brand I expect Audi to honour their quest for providing superior customer service. They are conveniently passing the buck by claiming the vehicle is out of warranty.

This manufacturing defect has been evident internationally and Audi around the world has accepted liability. Why should Audi SA be any different?
