Audi A4 - Faulty Clutch

<p>This is a sound warning to anyone wanting to buy an Audi and in particular an Audi A4. I have just had to replace my clutch for the second time within motor plan at my own expense. I bought the car brand new and the first clutch already started slipping at 40 000km .This was replaced under motor plan at Audi Hatfield and I urged them to look for a deeper lying problem as I am a 40 year old driver and have NEVER had a days worth of clutch trouble in my previous 7 cars. They assured me everything would be fine but much to my horror the exact same thing happened 40 000km later. I took the car back to Audi Hatfield and this time they immediately blamed it on 'driver error' even though my previous car was EXACTLY the same Audi model which I drove to 100 000 km without a day of clutch trouble. My history was not even considered and I was quoted R34 000 for a clutch kit replacement. I was insistent that it was impossible to be the case given my history and the clear pattern emerging and that they should look for a deeper lying cause to the problem- the charge quoted for this procedure was R8000. Now how can I trust an institution to be honest in their findings when they are willing to charge me R8000 just to have a look- all still within their 'wonderful 100 00km motor plan'. The process and systems in place are shocking compared to my previous experience with BMW. You are clearly just a number at Audi without them considering your standing relationship or history on previous cars(audi) etc. Very dissapointed in a brand I believed in. I’m at the point of avoiding an upgrade with Audi starting to believe I should never have left BMW.</p>
