Approved for a vehicle which was already sold

I had completed a finance application on a vehicle I was interested in and approval was attained but to my disappointment this vehicle was already sold to another person.<br> Why did the dealership do this? Why was I led on to believe that I would be acquiring this vehicle only to be led to disappointment. <br> Ethically, the dealership should have been upfront and indicated that the vehicle has been sold and not keep me as a backup in case the other customer decided against the purchase.<br> Very upset with the way this was handled, suffice to say this has *****ed me from the Audi brand, as I was considering a move away from BMW.
