2 year mechanical fault with Audi. Dont get caught, buy a Mercedes instead

Bought a preowned Audi RS3 in 2015 with 40000Km on the clock. With Warranty & Service plan still intact until January 2018. The car from the onset had a steering shudder and vibration from 95km/h and up which was so bad it would shake your hands when driving as well as the arm rest and seats.

In short they do not hold up their end of the warranty and service contract you sign when you buy an Audi, it might as well just be a lotto ticket to see whether you will be dealt a dud with poor service & non existent trouble shooting. Which is evident in the review section online.

With visits to 3 Audi dealerships and approximate 25 visits over 2 years, the problem has yet to be solved. I have explored every option by contacting Audi South Africa and trying almost all the dealers in Cape Town after each one rolled over and told me they cannot assist, along with an open complaint with Audi Customer Service for 8 months which just cost me airtime in the end.

I have been told to buy new tires which I did and replace my rims/wheels with absolutely no difference made. They have replaced parts that have not fixed the problem and now they unwilling to look at the matter any further as each dealer passes the problem to the next. 2 years to fix a mechanical problem is absolutely unbelievable and unacceptable.

Audi cars are superb when they work but like anything it needs maintenance and upkeep. Well when your Audi needs maintenance or something needs replacing don't rely on them to be able to identify any of your problems nor service and maintain your investment, theres a reason why the complaints section is littered with poor reviews. I have received better service from Bosch on my electric shaver than Audi as whole. When mechanical problems arise , good luck, you will met with its "your problem not ours" attitude and we cannot fix it but we happy to point you to the direction of the new car sales department so the cycle can inevitably start all over again, it's Audis circle of life.
