Audi is a terrible brand

<p>To give context to this experience, we own a Audi A1, 2015 model which is automatic (S Tronic).. We have been having problems with the vehicle "over reving" before 1st gear is engaged, this causes the car to roll back on an incline..</p> <p> </p> <p>We recently took the vehicle to Audi for its annual service.. Before handing the vehicle over, I mentioned to the Service advisor that there was an issue with the car "over reving" when in first gear, more so that when you release the brake and start to accelerate the rev shoots upto 3000rpm before engaging 1st gear.. They said "we" would check it out and as the day went on, our Service advisor Ruan Vos gave my wife a called and said to her that they had compared the settings from a brand new model like ours and the settings were correct.. Once my wife had told me this I started thinking, did they actually drive the vehicle to replicate the issues I informed them of..? My guess was no, they did not, I further mentioned that the petrol was dropping rather fast, more than usual and I told them that it may be the over reving causing this.. The answer to that one was, did you know that the price of petrol went up..? I mean do we look like idiots or something..?</p> <p>When we collected the vehicle, the Service advisor said there's nothing wrong with the vehicle and felt it best to explain what type of gearbox the vehicle is fitted with, as I didn't know..</p> <p> </p> <p>A week after the service, we were on our way to work and the car starts over reving again, this time so much that a warning light appeared that stated the "Gearbox" was overheating.. Peak traffic and this piece of worthless tin is telling me to pull over.. How embarrassed we were, sitting in 2015 Audi broken down on a freeway.. Audi say they represent sporty dynamics, progressive technology and unsurpassed sophistication, I don't think so..</p> <p> </p> <p>In my opinion, the clutch may be faulty on this wonderful S Tronic (DSG) gearbox they claim to have, which could be slipping and not engaging gears as it should..</p> <p> </p> <p>I have a few friends and colleague with the Gti's and DSG gearboxes who all needed to have them replaced due to similar issues, how can't Audi learn from their mistakes..?</p> <p> </p> <p>I feel now that I made a big mistake trading in a Mercedes Benz to buy a worthless piece of tin..</p> <p> </p> <p>Even taking the actual vehicle out of the equation, the service you get from Audi is terrible, they don't care about you, I recall with our previous vehicle, we had an issue with the wiring of the brake light and Mercedes Benz offered us some coffee and one of their cars to use for the day.. That's service..</p> <p> </p> <p>I will not suggest anyone buy an Audi.. It's an over priced Volkswagen..</p>
