Audi Centre Westrand comedy show
Upon negotiating with Jacques on WhatsApp about settlement, he confirmed R140,000 for the Kia we would be trading. When we viewed the car we intended to buy, Jacques asked us of we were happy with the grade of window tint, and we confirmed it was fine. Upon signing we found a charge of a few thousand Rand to be loaded onto the contract for new tinting and Scotchgard, and all of a sudden he claimed to have "heard us say" we wanted to change the grade of tint. He dad also lowered the settlement with several thousand Rand, and I had to prove it to him on our WhatsApp history that he committed to R140,000. The correction on the contract can be seen as evidence of this. Lastly, minutes after driving off with the new car 27 Dec, I sent him a message that we did not have the owner's manual of the car. He committed to retrieve it. I followed up again 31 Dec to which he responded that it was with the prior owner and that she'd be back 6 Jan. I followed up AGAIN 7 Jan to which he responded that "he emailed my wife" and that he would let us know. I then phoned Lebo, the sales manager who undertook to "sort me out asap". I told him to be warned, that I do not want the car without the books, and that he can expect it back otherwise. Nothing back from Lebo. I finally followed up AGAIN yesterday 16 Jan, and again Jacques said that "he would have it back latest Monday from the prior owner. I then phoned Lebo, furious. He confirmed that NEW books would be delivered to us Monday. I told him that Jacques has been dishonest and slack in multiple occasions, and he did not have much to say about that, but was rather trying to mitigate the book situation. I told him that if he did not want to hear about my dissatisfaction with his staff, I did not have more to say to him and hung up. I then tried the DP, Louis. I got through to Susan, and complained bitterly as Louis was "unavailable". I further told her that Jacques undertook to get back to me about a SECOND vehicle we wanted to buy from ACW, which he never bothered to do. (This was during the initial purchase, that I showed interest in a second vehicle). I subsequently bought another vehicle from Parktown Toyota from Ameer, who was most helpful. Susan, the assistant undertook vehemently that she would get Louis to phone me, and that I was in good hands. A few hours later just before COB I phoned her again. She confirmed that Louis had not been back in his office and that she still assured me a phone call from him. Still nothing. I have never ever dealt with a dealership with such poor after sales performance and frankly rot from top to bottom as this one.
