I have been a member of the ATKV since 2007. Recently I found specials on Groupon. I also recently received a sms advertising a special that if you are under 35 you receive a 35% discount on a midweek stay. I called ATKV Goudini Spa to enquire and was informed that as a member I would be charged the full rate then a discount would then be deducted, that makes absolutely no sense as I would then be just getting a 10% discount. You are ripping us members off as we are suppose to be receiving discounted rates, but it seems that the public(non members) benefit more than members. I am planning to take this publicly and also every social media platform if not addressed, I called the ATKV's office since last week Thursday and was promised that a manager would be calling me back. UP to now no response. I demand feedback as I pay you R700 per year to benefit nothing. I know quite alot of members and we will all stand together.

Firstly, thank you for being a member of the ATKV. It is your contributions that allow us to operate projects aimed at building a successful and sustainable South Africa.
With regards to this promotion: our aim with this promotion was to provide a younger market the opportunity to enjoy a breakaway at one of our resorts, in the process hopefully growing our market which enables us to expand our cultural and social development projects.
The discount offered was also available to members, but, as the promotion stated was only available off the non-member rate as it would not have been viable to provide an additional 35% discount off the member rate. Members still benefited from an additional discount off their member rate should they choose the promotional discount, as you indicated in your enquiry.
We do however understand your disappointment and will work harder in future to ensure our members enjoy a benefit in return for their valuable contributions.
