Hi guys
I just wanna let you all know that I don't recommend you visiting this ****** place. Here's what happened over the past weekend :
" I checked in at Klein Kariba with my boyfriend and his family on Friday , 6 July 2018. We have booked in at the log cabin. I have to say that this is absolutely beautiful and we love it. The view, the peace and quiet, the activities. I was having a pleasant journey until Saturday , 7 July 2018, 20:10 pm.
For the very first time, I decided to visit the indoor pool. I had my gym outfit on. (A sports vest and tights). As I walked in I felt as if there were a thousand people staring at me, as if I was a ghost. I stepped into the pool and a minute later, the security guard came to me and said to me and I quote "You are not allowed to wear a bra in the pool , please take it off" .. I did not understand this .. so I had asked her why .. and her response was "The white people do not like it and it makes them feel uncomfortable" .. my first thought was that someone had complained about me wearing a bra. Really? A bra? So they would be more "comfortable" with me showing the explicate parts of my body? The security guard told me to remove my bra if I want to continue swimming or I have to leave. That made me feel even more uncomfortable. As I women , I am self conscious about my body , I refuse to wear a two piece when at the pool , but rather a shorts and t-shirt or gym outfit (as I had on) , we have cultural rules that I have to obey and I refuse to expose my body when there are other men around.
I've never felt this offended in my entire life. I will not recommended my family or friends to stay at Klein Kariba due to this traumatic experience. I have to say I am very disappointed that I couldn't enjoy the pools , we have paid a lot of money for this weekend and for me not to use the facilities is absolutely pathetic.
Kind regards, Mikaela Naidoo "
This was the complaint I've logged above , the manager has only apologized. No partial refund or a free day visit as I suggested. She says that I was dressed inappropriately.
We're living in 24 years of democracy and I can't believe that this is what happened to me. Even though I wasnt born during the apartheid years I definitely felt as if I was living in that era.
Please share to shame this resort. ?
