Overcharging us after quoting a price
Upon arrival Friday night, i was VERY pleased with the service at the gate.<br> <br> My complaint comes in due to what happened on Sat 14 Feb. We had arranged for extra day visitors to come through to join us for my girlfriend's 30th birthday. This also,was paid for up front-we were told that the 8 adults and 3 children was a certain amount. Two of the adults were allocated to our campsite's \inclusive fee"";but my parents were the last to arrive. They went to check in;but were told they had to pay;as all the paid for visitors had entered already.So they were charged the additional 2 adults and 2 children.I went to enquire; and the lady at reception that took the payment just said;WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT US-\""no arrangements were made with her\"". <br> <br> Even worse"
Firstly, we would like to apologise for not addressing your complaint sooner through this website. By taking the time to lodge your complaint, we did not show the necessary respect to respond to your complaint in a timeous fashion.
Secondly, due to the time that has passed between lodging your complaint and this response, we felt that it may be better to offer you a better experience at our resorts rather than directly addressing your original complaint which we can no longer effectively resolve.
Because we value all our guests, we would like to offer you a once-off 30% discount at any of our 7 resorts for any booking (8 people or less) valid until 30 September 2016 with the only condition that this offer is subject to availability. When you book, we will also throw in a free bag of firewood, bag of ice, 2L milk and 2L Coca-Cola as well as a 25% discount on a meal (8 people or less) at our Koswerf restaurants (not available at Hartenbos). This offer is available to our members and non-members alike who posted complaints to HelloPeter prior to 1 June 2015. This offer is not transferable.
