ATKV - Waste of membership fees

We still haven't had a response from ATKV. R1000 wasted on membership.

Good morning,

Any news on this please? Yet again disappointed with no response from the ATKV. The least you can do is acknowledge the e-mail with a holding response.

Good afternoon,

I am sending this e-mail on behalf of my parents, Mr and Mrs Booysen.

A little bit of background. They had their honeymoon at Klein Kariba nearly 40 years ago. And during the 80s and 90s regularly visited Klein Kariba with myself and my brother. They had membership for many years. During a time of financial struggle they had to give up their membership, but we (my Scottish husband who loves visiting Klein Kariba and I) continued to visit every time we came for a visit to South Africa. My husband and I even had our honeymoon in one of the wooden lodges on the water in 2008. Even though my parents weren’t members, they still visited the site every now and then.

My husband and I are travelling to South Africa from the USA in December and was hoping to visit Klein Kariba then. My parents also wanted to have their 40 year anniversary at Klein Kariba in Oct. Because my mom started a new job, she was in a position to become a member again. What a mistake…

Firstly it seems that the prices are ridiculously high over Dec. Klein Kariba used to be a destination of choice as prices were very good.

Secondly, I would like you to have a look at the e-mail trail between one of your staff members and my mom. My parents really wanted to spend their 40th anniversary where they had their honeymoon, and the response from the staff was terrible. In the end they booked at Crystal Springs near Pilgrims Rest.

There was no good morning in the e-mails or anything to make you feel valued.

We are all very disappointed with the Service on the reception desk. There is a gentleman who works at Klein Kariba called Steve Sithole and he always provides top service.

I would like a refund for my parents’ Membership fees please. They have paid 12 months upfront and after this disappointing experience, they no longer feel that they would visit Klein Kariba again, which is a shame as we always had an amazing time there. I would also like a response from the manager please.
