Laptop battery issues already

I spent thousands and thousands buying a iCore3 laptop from Asus thinking its good and a little over a year and the battery on the laptop never ever reaches above 88 to 90% charged. Obviously a defective in the Asus laptop or Asus battery. So what do I do? The laptop is in mint excellent, excellent condition so it's in no way my fault this is manufacturing issues Asus!!
