Experience with ASUS laptops

Here is my experience with two Asus laptops purchased new - over the last 6 years. My first Asus had keyboard issues early on (a day or two after buying it new in 2014). Had to get the whole thing replaced under warranty. Wifi stopped working perhaps 3 or 4 years in, then keyboard finally stopped functioning after 6 years. Overall I was disappointed with the feel, the keyboard and case flex fairly easily. Asus claims they have since improved the keyboard, so I decided to buy a new one. So far not thrilled with deceptive package insert claiming MyAsus app capable of providing diagnostics and link to phone, only to then find it doesn't work with this model. Another irritation is not being able to access my Asus account, or reset the password - and support taking what seems like weeks to deal with this simple issue by email (the call centre told me this can only be resolved by email). On the good side, I would say I'm glad the new ASUS consumes less power, weighs a bit less than the previous one and that it is value for money. I'd rate this brand as mediocre overall, and feel they need to move towards reducing e-waste by designing their products to last a bit longer and providing a way for them to be repaired. Surely they can find a profitable way to do that?
