Disregarding warranty

Purchased a Asus Zen screen go, it’s their top of the range portable monitor. The USB C port started giving me issues. When I returned it to be fixed, they rejected my request on the basis that the mini HDMI cable that was in the package was damaged. They didn’t even assess the problem. The screen is 15 months into a 36 month warranty. Disgusting behavior.
