ASI short term shockingly sad service!

I have recently had a very unpleasant experience with ASI short term insurance who I have been dealing with for 10 years and before that when they were John Roe brokers.

In early February my house was struck by lightning and my TV and PS4 were damaged and I put in a claim to have them replaced. When I first put in the claim all went well until it came time to have the goods assessed, where the service provider they appointed never called to schedule appointments and this dragged on for 3 weeks.

Eventually I took the goods to be assessed myself and verified that they could not be repaired, submitted the report and awaited my claim.

I was told they would settle my claim but nowhere did they mention salvaging the goods and I have information on the hard drives that I need. I was simply told that I would have to buy my goods back from the salvager and no compromise or alternative was offered.

When I expressed my dissatisfaction to Nhenhu as well as Sylvia, a manager, via email there was no response forthcoming. It has been a week now and they haven't responded to my query or offered a solution.

To say that the service has been shoddy and pathetic is still being complimentary.

If anybody reading this ever thinks about dealing with ASI I would suggest looking at any other company. They lack professionalism and any service ethic and this is what they are essentially offering as a business.

All I want is my claim to be settled.

They are also underwritten by Santam and if they are happy with level of service from their partners then it doesn't say much about their service levels either.

Would somebody at ASI please contact me to sort this matter out before the next solar eclipse in the southern hemisphere. I get the impression that if you just ignore me you think I'll go away, but this isn't the case.

Regards that are not at all Kind Robert Lopes
