WARNING DONT BECOME A GUINEA ***!!!!WORST EXPERENCE EVER!!!!!

<p>I took my son to the emergency room because of breathing issues. He was seen by a nurse that I now know was a 'trainee' and could not insert intravenous lines. She requested for help from a registered nurse who also could not insert the intravenous lines. They believe it or not wanted to try again!!! I stopped them immediately because at this point my son is in agony. All of that aside we receive the bill and we have been charged for 3 intravenous attempts i.e. we are paying for the trainee nurse’s materials and off course allowing her to use our son as a guinea ***. This is not a money matter, on the contrary it’s a ‘Principal’ matter and in Principal we should not be charged for 3 of those lines. After receiving what could only be described as a pathetic response from the Zone nursing manager I escalated to the Hospital Manager. She responded to explain that the rules are that they have 2 attempts after which they need to ask for assistance(would you believe it?), she also mentions that as a…now get this ‘Good Will Gesture’ they will credit our account for 1 of the intravenous lines. Only If you want to be used for training purposes go to this hospital otherwise you would be better off at a public hospital.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
