Unprofessionalism and negligence

I submitted a complaint regarding the treatment my husband received from Dr. Tshidibi following his orthopaedic surgery on 7 October 2025. Despite the seriousness of the procedure, my husband was discharged after just two hours post-operation without being provided adequate pain and inflammation medication. The only medication prescribed was "Gen Pain' and it was insufficient to manage his discomfort, which led us to return to Casualty in the early hours of 8 October.

To our dismay, the attending doctor at Casualty dismissed my husband's pain, suggesting—without basis—that stronger medication was unnecessary due to a risk of addiction. This was not only insensitive but medically inappropriate. Furthermore, an x-ray was ordered despite the fact that my husband had undergone surgery the previous day, making the procedure both unnecessary and financially burdensome.

Had Dr. Tshidibi administered proper post-operative care, including effective pain management, this distressing and costly return to Casualty could have been avoided. To date, I have received no response from the hospital regarding this matter.
