Unprofessional

As a fellow healthcare practitioner, I was impressed with the care that I received whilst I was admitted at Arwyp Hospital however my opinion of the hospital was distorted once I was discharged on the 03/06/2018. I was told that I had to make a co-payment for a theatre charge in the evening on the 01/06/2018. However on the day of the procedure, I was told that the procedure will no longer be performed at the theatre but in the doctor’s rooms instead and I should be reimbursed the co-payment fee within the next 3-4 working days. I completed the reimbur*****t form and submitted my proof of payment to the debtor's department on the 04/06/2018. After one week had passed since we had submitted the reimbur*****t application we began to grow a little frustrated and proceeded to contact the finance department on a daily basis to follow up with my case. We were informed that my hospital accounts are currently being settled by my medical aid and as soon payment reflects I will be reimbursed. A week after week passed and still, I had not received my reimbur*****t. All I received was poor communication s****s from administrative staff and excuses with no clarity or substance. I asked for this in writing on in an email so that I may further follow up and gain clarity on the situation. Yet I have not received a single email. The hospital staff proceeded to point the blame at the medical aid. I received their concern with grace and contacted my medical aid directly, only to find that all hospital payments were settled already. My medical aid further reported that I SHOULD NOT HAVE MADE ANY CO-PAYMENT as everything was covered by them. I am still waiting. This is absolutely ridiculous and irresponsible of the hospital. I am extremely disappointed with this hospital which I had previously had so high regard for.
