Unfairly charged due to incompetence from the hospital staff
Due to me following instructions from the Nurses on duty at Arwyp Hospital I am now liable for a bill of R3054.68 for medical expenses. Discovery medical aid has a 24HR Migraine protocol if admitted to a hospital. On the morning of the following day of being admitted I was told by the Doctor at 9 am that I need to go for a MRI Scan and he will see me later the afternoon with the results. I waited until 6 PM for the scan, during that time I waited I informed the Nurses on duty of the 24HR protocol. After the scan I got to my room at 7PM and asked the Nurse when am I seeing the Doctor. The Nurses on duty told me that the Doctor has left already and I will see him tomorrow - I then informed the Nurses again of the 24HR protocol and they said not worry the Doctor will motivate for a reason as to why I stayed another night. They then also informed me that I can only be discharged by the Doctor and I should stay put and rest.
I was then asked to send an email to Anelie with an explanation as to what happened, she sent it to the Doctors office and his reply was that he was not informed of the 24HR protocol. I sent an email back to Anelie explaining how can it be my fault that the Nurses did not inform the Doctor of the 24HR protocol or discharge me as I requested instead they told me I will see the Doctor tomorrow and only the Doctor can discharge me
I was told to pay the outstanding amount by the 20th of April.

Hoping we can resolve this.
