Poor Service and Bad communication
I have had nothing but good service and treatment from all disciplines at Arwyp hospital for the past 16 years ever since we relocated to Kempton Park from Secunda. We always defended Arwyp amongst our peers and friends when we heared of complaints about this to my opinion an excellent medical facility Yes there were minor problems which was resolved almost immediately until today 29 November 2020,my wife was admitted to hospital complaining of severe chest pain on 28 November 2020 and as per protocol was placed into medical ICU pending the Covid 19 result and was also scheduled to have an angiogram done by Dr Grigorov. The understanding was that once the covid result was available, then depending on the result the patient will be moved to the appropriate ward. Covid results was made available to me hours ago but the ward was still "waiting" Dr Grigorov postponed the procedure but nobody was notified, my wife stayed hungry and thirsty until 13:00 today 29 November 2020. What is happening to this once great establishment where we could go and rest assured of the best of the best. This service is NO longer evident as it now seems it is all business and no patient care at all.We as a family need answers and resolutions.I need to know if my wife is being moved to which ward so I can visit her for moral support.I understand that due to the pandemic we are not allowed to visit ICU so what about High care or Cardiac ward.In was promised that they will call me back for further details regarding the action to be taken. To me now I an also starting to doubt the service at Arwyp, maybe we do not have a hospital in Kempton Park that is efficient any longer just a business institute. We may have to start looking at our neighboring towns like Benoni where people are full of praise for their Private institutions. Prove them wrong
At least I have had first hand experience now with the rot that is clearly existing at Arwyp, this incident has opened my eyes and I have removed the blinkers. In this pandemic where we are NOT allowed to visit our loved one's at least show some compassion and humanity. It looks like I was the only one walking around with blinkers on..checked all reviews across all platforms and found more than 90% poor reviews, so to me some thing is SERIOUSLY wrong at Arwyp Hospital
