Pathetic pediatrics ward with ********* nurses

My two week old baby was admitted to the Pediatrics ward on Saturday evening, 22 September 2018. We only went to Arwyp since this was the closest emergency room to our home. On arrival at the casualties ward, the baby scale was about 1kg out, the thermometer was not working and the bed where they wanted to examine my baby was dirty.... We were then moved to the Pediatrics ward and my baby was out on a drip with antibiotics for five days. As a breastfeeding mom I had to stay with him in hospital. At 7 am on Wednesday, 26 September the Pediatrician came around to do his rounds and mentioned that my baby received a dose of antibiotics the previous evening at 18:00 pm. I told him that that was impossible since he did not have a drip on since 14:00 pm on the 25th. According to his patient chart, a nurse signed that he was given the medication. During the course of that morning I queried with four nurses on why it was signed for and never administered. After none of the four nurses even bothered to get back to me with an answer, I tried to contact the Unit manager on the number that is so visibly placed in the room... The first number, a cell number, went straight to voice mail. The second number with the unit manager, Estelle Botha's number, is actually the police station's number.... and the third number for the deputy unit manager went to someone who could not even speak English. I then googled the hospital's number and asked reception to put me through to Estelle Botha. I spoke to her and she came to my room to get the details of my complaint. I felt better after talking to her and thought that I would get some answers. She also informed me that the antibiotics that the Dr prescribed are actually not even manufactured anymore and they were out of stock. My baby went without medication from 14:00 pm on the 25th until 14:00 pm on the 26th of September. He was suppose to get two dosages of antibiotics in the morning and one in the evening. No one seemed to care about this?? And I never got feedback from Mrs Botha regarding the nurse that signed for the administration of medication on the evening of the 25th.... As far as i know this is ***** and this nurse should not be working in a hospital where she can cost people and babies their lives. This was such a traumatizing experience for me as a new mom, i would never ever return to this hospital and not recommend it to anyone.
