NICU FAIL

I Gave Birth To My Daughter On Saturday The 20th Of July When She Was Only 26 Weeks. Naturally, She Was Rushed To The Neonatal ICU Where She Was Incubated And The Works... The Shifts Are 19:00 To 07:00 And So On! At 19:00 They Do The Handover As I Wait In The Kitchen And Get Called By The Sister At Around 19:20 To Come See The Babies! I Get To My Baby’s Bed And Notice That There Is No Sister To Take Care Of Her... I Then Hear A Blaring Alarm Sounding From The Monitor And It Indicates A Drop In Her Heart Rate! It Keeps Going Down And No One Is Coming. I Stand Up And Ask For Help And Get Told “Someone Is Being Called From Upstairs” Frustrated, I Look For Another Nurse And Scream: Please Help! My Baby’s Heart Rate Is Dropping. It Went From 140’s Down To 60 Before Someone Could Come To Her Aid! I Had A Complain That Same Afternoon That My Baby’s Hand Had Turned White And It Was Dealt With At A Stage Where It Could’ve Been Worse! Must There Be Death For People To Do Their Jobs?! Why Does Arwyp Have A Standard Of A Public Hospital?! What Happened To Health Safety And Caution?! How Do I Go Home And Leave *********** Staff With My Baby?! The Agony Of Being A Mother To A Preemie Is Unspeakable! You Can’t Take Your Baby Home, You Can’t Hold Her, You Can’t Do Anything! You’re Helpless! The Least The Hospital And Its Staff Can Do Is THEIR JOB!! I’m Going To The Papers! I’m Going On To Every And Any Platform I Can Get... I Will Not Let This Go!! Arwyp Needs To Step It Up!!
