Disgusting Incompetence

My 10 month old daughter had an allergic reaction to some fish I gave her where her airways were closing. I administered Allergex before rushing like a bat out of hell to Arwyp Casualty only for them to take an hour and a half to get her through Triage. Whilst waiting for the doctor in the paediatric room, the Allergex was obviously wearing off and she started to swell again. I went out twice to the bay to ask for them to administer something or for the doctor to see her quickly before her airways closed again only to be told "your file is not on the top." Admittedly I absolutely lost it at them and stormed out but they could not care less about reassessing and triaging patients if conditions deteriorate. I am quite sure they would not have done anything until my daughter stopped breathing because "I must wait my turn" . Having visited the paediatrician the next morning, my daughter has a severe anaphylactic allergic reaction to seafood, so much so that I now have an epi pen and adrenaline nubulisers in case she stops breathing. This hospital wouldn't even shuffle the patients around quickly to help a 10 month old. There are SO many "doctors" and "nurses" milling around all laughing and having a fat chat with each other and could not care less that my daughter's face was starting to swell. I was not listened to at all, with the individual just referring to where my file was in the pile, whilst I am saying her airways are going to close again. I am from a medical family and never in my life have I seen such medical incompetence, lack of care or concern for patients. Absolutely disgusting. If you value yours or your family's life in the middle of a crisis, go to another hospital. I will never go back.
