My girlfriend Contacted Arrie Nel Pharmacy in Garsfontein and ordered medication for herself and child for relief from fever and chills, an assistant said he could not give both and that she should choose one or the other, a syrup for children and adult tablets for delivery as she is running one heck of a temperature, fever, chills etc. Both of these items are OTC's and apparently there was a discretion because of coedine content. Assistant then asked her too choose. So either child suffers (this product was chosen as it contains no alcohol, ephedrine or caffine as she doesn't believe in them AND IS AN OTC) rather shocked that someone would make such a statement - that she takes children's medication or child takes adult medication she later called to speak to manager a Mr Venter who accused of not making sense as HE COULD TELL SHE WAS ON COEDINE. Under no circumstances was this very competent rather sick person on any form of Coedine what so ever. DISPRIN and 3 old SINUCON Which NEITHER CONTAIN COEDINE. Mr Venter then stated legal limit for coedine was 3.2mg I have since been to your pharmacy and MOST of your medications for colds and flu labeled under OTC contain huge doses of paracetamol, 10mg COEDINE, and CAFFINE and ALCOHOL for not just ADULTS but CHILDREN'S MEDICATION TOO. You then tried to sell her medication 3 times the price. Mr Venter not only made inflammatory statements but then tried to sell a product at 3 times the price to her also an OTC. This chain of pharmacies have been well received by me and my entire family, nothing but top notch service. I have in actual fact just gotten what my girlfriend requested from our branch here in another part of Pretoria. Obligatory name, surname, address and telephone number on their system and confirmed now. Mr Venter I would advise you to keep such a database and you could check records. I feel terrible as I was the person who gave her your pamphlet advertising outstanding service of 24 hours - REALLY? Taking advantage of sick people plus inflammatory accusations of the nature you made, its is hardly even ethical let alone OUTSTANDING. I recommend an apology or get your facts and shop in order.
