Still no delivery one month after payment

I came into contact with Vestergaards' South African distributor, Aqua4life and its Managing Director Nico Germishuizen, a while ago in order to source 5 x Lifestraw home water purifying units, 18 litres, LSH0001 for one of my corporate clients. I subsequently ordered and paid for the items on 26 October 2016 after which, according to Nico, the items were dispatched directly to my client.

A few days after the expected delivery date, my client contacted me to enquire why the items have not been delivered yet. I in turn contacted Nico, who indicated that my 5 units were delivered with a bulk order to another client by mistake. They were rerouted back to Johannesburg, directly to my client. Planned delivery would now take place on Friday, 11 November. A few days later my client enquired again why the water filters were not delivered, upon which Nico said that since I requested the 5 boxes to be marked (which I did request and they apparently couldn’t do enroute), the delivery was rerouted to my personal address. This was around the 15th of November.

It is now almost a week later and I have yet to speak to Nico. He does not pick up when I phone whether from my land line, cellphone, etc, and occasionally answers vaguely via Whatsapp. Apparent delivery would have taken place on Friday, again now show - claiming that they were turned away at the gate.

This is unacceptable service and it has subsequently placed my company in a predicament as well as tarnished our reputation with one of our biggest clients.

I have also contacted the Vestergaard company via their media relations department, ethical hotline, Facebook page etc. No response.

Is it really possible for an MD of a company to not sort out a delivery in 30 days' time? Can one person be so busy that it is just not possible to do or answer the phone or return a call at the days' end?
