Nothing but Hassles and disappointment
Since the beginning of last year I was insured with Aon for my Motor Bike and Household content. Everything was fine signing on, but as soon as it came to claiming damage/loss I was met with all sorts of nasty surprises. When I lost my bike in an accident I was firstly hit with 2 excesses of 10% each, which I accepted as I assumed it was my oversight, however I did find the excess unfairly high. The main problem was that it took 3-4 months for the bank to be paid out which cost me a substantial amount on repayments in the interim unnecessarily. On top of that my insurance premium was still going off, even after everything was settled. This premium issue was fixed and the premiums refunded thankfully, but I am still sitting with a loss due to the interest charged on the vehicle while I was waiting for settlement. Now on a different claim on my household insurance, I broke my phone and when going through the claim process I was told I would have to pay a R250 excess, which I accepted. I then get a mail that I am being charged 2 excesses, one for R1000 and one for R500. This is all very disappointing. I feel cheated and at this stage I feel like moving to a different insurance provide
