No claim resolution in over a month

I write this review in utter desperation. My car was ****** and recovered on the same day, more than one month ago. It took almost 3 weeks for the car to first be assessed, after consistent follow ups from my side - nothing was urgent or even vaguely followed up by Aon. During this time, Avis continually bugged me to return the car, even though Aon were prolonging matters from their side. After a month, I was told that the car was to be written off, with the damage at 71.5% of the insured value. At no point did anyone ask if we can leave any cosmetic part of the repair off to try and save the car.

I was then told that I, in my own capacity, need to get the panelbeater to reduce the quote to 52% of the insured value for Old Mutual to very kindly "consider" my request to save the car. Although this is what I pay a broker for, I could see no effort was being made at all. I spoke to the panelbeater and arrived at the required 52% and confirmed this on Friday 30 June at 5:20am, but have heard nothing, and neither has the panelbeater.

Aon have withdrawn the rental car, which I as a pensioner now need to fund for weeks ahead, even though their delays have put me in this position. Still now, no call has been made to proceed.

As a loyal Aon client for over 2 decades, with an impeccable claims history, this is simply unacceptable. I request the following from Aon, as I am getting nowhere.

1. Reinstatement of the hired car until the repairs are complete (I am happy to show correspondence in trying to push the claim since inception)

2. Immediate notice to panelbeater to resume work, after meeting Old Mutual's (what I believe) unfair demand

3. An explanation as to why I, in my own capacity, needed to arrive at 52% of insured value to "save" the car

4. A call with an apology for this massively frustrating service to a longstanding client, with associated timelines for the above actions
