Lack of service

I am utterly disgusted by AON who refuse to pay out of claims.<br> <br> I have had my entertainment area roof damaged by storms. The same roof that has been standing there for years, in fact when I acquired the house it was there standing strong. The same roof that when the insurer was determining the insurable value for my property (on the back of which they were willing to accept handsome premiums) was willing to put the value of the property based on this roof. Now all of a sudden, they are crying defective material. The roof is standing strong with the exception of a corner lifted by the wind. And they have the audacity to offer me R3,500 to replace the roof. That is not even a month's worth of premium I pay to this apparently useless company. Where in South Africa are you able to find a builder who will fix a roof structure for R3,5k?<br> <br> I don't want cash, I have that. What I need is the peace of mind I pay insurance premiums every month for. Knowing that if the storm comes and my roof is damaged as a result, the folk I pour over R4k every month to will actually get it fixed. Including sourcing the contractors etc.<br> <br> Enough of insurers running away from responsibility.
