Aon passing the buck to Panel beaters

My dad has been with Aon insurance for years, never defaulted on payments and always received excellent service.

Recently his car was involved in an accident and had to go for repairs at Jocks Autobody, with the approval of the Insurance, as they came highly recommended by Aon . He made use of the car hire option as per insurance contract and was told his car would be ready before return date of the rented vehicle.

After having the rented vehicle for 29 days and with the car hire expiring in 30 days, he was advised that his car was not ready due to the panel beaters wrong assessment. Aon also advised him there was nothing they can do as the option was for only 30 days, regardless of the fact that they recommended these panel beaters and assured him of timeous repairs to his vehicle.

My dad now has to either pay for a rented car or be without transport, he is a Director at a Municipality and needs to attend to serious meetings. Aon and the panel beaters have not taken responsibility for delays in repairs or tried to assist a long paying client who is inconvenienced due to bad service.

The least they can do is extend the service or put pressure on panel beaters to perfom
