Useless and rude staff at Ampath Midstream Estate

Useless rude and *********** staff at Ampath Midstream Estate lab.

When I entered I made it clear that I am a chemo patient and asked for a professional nurse to draw blood. I did ask for Dawid but he was not available.

The sister in charge previously upset me because of her unnecessary comments and she did not assist me while I was specific on getting someone experienced to draw blood.

Sifiso at reception took my paper and just left it on the table and forgot about it. I eventually asked what was going on and then Novel took the paper. I made it clear to her that I am a chemo patient and need someone with experience.

I need to make it very clear that Novel that drew blood has no clue how to draw blood. She kept on twisting the needle and hurting me and *****ed me in my arm. She then *****ed my hand and also twisted the needle and I told her she was hurting me causing my hand to swell up. I then got up.

I asked twice if there was anybody that was able to draw blood properly on chemo patients of which Sifiso just ignored me.

Then Joyce the sister in charge stormed into the reception and said she was busy which is not true because I saw the patient Joyce was busy with leaving.

Joyce started arguing which is highly unprofessional for nursing staff especially when dealing with chemo patients. She has such a rude unsympathetic unprofessional and vulgar attitude which is unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!! AND SHE IS THE SISTER IN CHARGE. She drags Ampath's name through the mud.

Sifiso N Ngobe at reception also had such an attitude. From being friendly when we walked in he gave me a nasty look and he is also rude and unprofessional.

I went to Lancet and first time the sister drew blood without any problems.

As we were on our way out Joyce was standing in the reception area with 2 other staff members one who is a chemo nurse and the other person the receptionist at the main entrance discussing with them what had happened. This shows once again how unprofessional and type of person Joyce is to run and start gossiping.

It so happened that I know both the people Joyce was talking to and I made it clear to them how unprofessional Ampath is and showed them my swollen hand.

Lancet adviced me to put ice on my hand and the receptionist at my oncologist also saw my hand and was shocked.
