I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the recent experience I had at AMPATH Laboratories. On the day of my blood tests, I was given a form to confirm whether my details were still accurate. I took the opportunity to clearly indicate that Lance van Niekerk is no longer my guarantor, as he is my ex-husband with whom I have had no contact for over 8 years. I specifically requested the receptionist to ensure that my details were updated accordingly. I was assured that this would be taken care of.

However, I was shocked and appalled by the unprofessional conduct displayed by the staff during my visit. It was evident that there was a shortage of personnel, which led to delays and a chaotic environment. Furthermore, it has come to my attention that despite my explicit instructions, AMPATH Laboratories still forwarded my personal details and the nature of my blood tests to my ex-husband, Lance van Niekerk. I want to emphasize that he has no legal or personal rights over me, and it is a clear violation of confidentiality and trust for AMPATH to disclose such sensitive information to him.

This breach of contract and disregard for patient privacy is entirely unacceptable. I intend to take further action to address this matter and ensure that appropriate measures are taken to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
