unprofessional and bad service.

I received the worst of services from Ampath staff (03/12/2019)in Femina hospital in Arcadia in Pretoria working between 3pm-4pm. Their service was pathetic and unprofessional. I was referred for blood test, when I got there they wanted authorisation from medical aid. My medical aid had advised that they don't give authorisations for blood tests, the company can do the test and claim. I communicated that to Empath staff who insisted they need authorisation and I must ask my medical aid to send them email acknowledging they will pay. I then called medical aid and ask that they explain to them. The lady took my phone, I thought she was sorting out the issue but gave the phone to another one who came to me after sometime asking me which number to press. I didn't even know what the number was for. I had to call the medical aid again from my cellphone, after about 5 minutes she came back saying the phone had dropped. Their attitude was not pleasant. They said something about their policy wanting payment upfront, I then asked about the fact that the medical aid had assured them that it would pay. They were not interested in helping or atleast being professional, all that time they were using my cellphone. I was turned away without being helped.
