Test result can’t be located

For my wife to give birth In a COVID 19 free ward and for me to be able to accompany her we were required to do a COVID 19 test. On Tuesday we were sent for this test I got my result on Wednesday late evening. Up until now Thursday evening 21:00 my wife has not received her results the dr now advised that we can’t proceed up until she receives her result . My test was tested in Cpt and hers was sent to JHB??? For what reason? And now can’t be tracked? The first thought that comes to mind is can the system actually be trusted? This has now delayed our whole process because Ampath can’t deliver the “quality” service they promise in their mission. This is beyond disgusting and extremely frustrating! We were tested in the same car by the same dr. But 1 test is sent to JHB? Makes no sense at all!!
