No word of outstanding account

I went for blood tests during pregnancy for folic acid and vitamin B12. I never received an email or sms stating there was an outstanding amount, I went to the UK for 5months and upon return I had vericred harassing me that I owe money. Many times when I spoke to them on the phone they never sorted the situation out! I am absolutely appalled by the service I have received from Ampath, it takes literally a minute to attach an outstanding account. I have had to pay double the original amount because they handed me over!
