Double billing

My daughter was referred to a pathologist in April 2017 and paid for the service using an Affinity medical aid card.She was advised by Ampath later in the year that Affinity rejected the claim because the service was not covered by the scheme.In October 2017 my daughter received a threatening letter from a debt collection company called Lexmed(Pty)Ltd demanding payment.I paid the outstanding amount into the account of Lexmed as directed and sent them proof of payment.

To my annoyance,I was contacted by another company called Vericred in Potchefstroom demanding payment of R900 for the same claim I settled.It looks like Ampath does not know what is going on with their accounts or this is another way of squeezing the consumers of our hard earned cash.
