Disgusted - Ampath Labs

I have had the total displeasure of dealing with Ampath Labs where they can charge for items that the medical aid has stated is a non chargeable item. Ampath accounts department have said it has been government gazetted that they can charge for culture bottles.

Between phoning Ampath accounts twice and the medical aid regarding the amount outstanding which I have received a final demand for only to be told that the query is with the medical aid and they are waiting for feedback. The medical aid wants a reference number for the query they have with them and they cannot give me the reference number.

So what does one do. Just so frustrating that they Ampath can charge you for what ever they want and if you dont pay you get final demands etc etc...................

Rather use Lancet Labs.
