Disappointment regarding anonymity the upfront cost of a blood test

WOW what a shock. In this day and age you would think there are efficient, quick ways to inform a client of a blood test cost prior to performing the test and thus the client is fully aware of the occurred costs, especially if it comes from your own savings (NOT MEDICAL AID CONTRIBUTION) Everything is expensive and thus why would you not share the cost of a test upfront for the client to give consent (in accordance to the POPIA ACT). I did give consent for a test, but when the statement come, the amount was taken 2 x, after querying this (which did not take too long) only to get feedback from Ampath that off course they are not at fault and they can charge (what they deem as correct) a doubble payment as this is mainly to ensure accurate results for the Dr. Not worrying that I am paying the double amount, that I did not give consent to, as it is taken from my savings. I am actually giving Ampath (for free) a client efficient solution to ensure all parties (Ampath, Dr and client) is informed of costs involved and consent given on this basis.
